If you are looking to maximise your chance of achieving a positive result, what should you look for when choosing who to study with? Think first about how you study most effectively, and the demands of your job. Is it better for you to study locally, and focus on achieving your qualification in one hit? Most providers will have full time, professional trainers, but it also worth checking out their practical experience and personal levels of qualification. Ask about current pass rates, and what support is on offer to help with revision and questions you may have in between completing your course and taking the examination.
Finally, think about your re entry back to work. How do you plan to use what you have learned in order to lead and improve safety performance in your organisation? Your ability to exert influence, communicate with others and take the lead will all be put to the test. Think about what support you may need, who could be your coach/mentor and how you plan to further your personal development. Professional qualifications are key to your success.
