Testimonials
Pivotal Performance works with many companies across many sectors. These success stories are an indication of what we can provide and how we can help an organisation. Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what our clients say…
Marie Chown
John Laing PLC“We are currently working in conjunction with Pivotal Performance to provide public Health and Safety courses to John Laing employees which ensure our training needs are met. Pivotal Performance currently provides courses on IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH for Senior Executives and NEBOSH General Certificate at several locations throughout the country.
As well as public courses Pivotal also deliver in-house courses on Environmental Awareness which have been very popular with John Laing staff,
The trainers have an in-depth knowledge of their subjects which has been well received throughout the company and trainers have consistently been rated as excellent.
We regularly meet a representative from Pivotal to discuss how the courses have been run, whether any improvements can be made and our training needs for the future. These meetings are extremely useful and provide us with valuable feedback.

NEBOSH Success“Recently I attended a NEBOSH (general certificate) course run by Pivotal. To my great surprise, I obtained a distinction. This was very much down to the hard work and encouragement given by the trainers Paul Darby and Kevin Evenett. Whilst it was hard work, the two weeks instruction on the course gave me a good insight into health and safety matters beyond my current organisational and work environment. As a direct result I have implemented changes in my own workplace to ensure better Health and Safety. Please pass on my thanks to Paul and Kevin. ”

“Pivotal Performance are professional in their approach and offer great ‘off the shelf’ solutions that are first class. In addition to this they are also prepared to work with you to design ‘tailor made’ training that really meets your organisational needs. They are fresh and dynamic, so different to the other providers, great to work with, flexible in their approach and offer a wide range of products and services delivered through a first class team that puts them in a league of their own.”

“I would like to express my complete satisfaction with the Leadership Development Programme you ran for us this year.
The initial reaction to the course, which was made up of a difficult group of people ranging from new managers, to those with no staff reporting to them, to longer serving members of staff who had managed whole departments, was quite sceptical. Some had received management training in the past, others had none so it was not any easy group to please.
The course itself was a terrific success. The delegates found the material helpful and relevant to their everyday experiences and the format of the course helped to keep things moving along and both Tim and Jane were careful to bring everybody along the way with them. The trainers were a big hit.
I am delighted to report that the delegates are still talking about the training they received and putting the principles learned into practice day by day together with the final presentation evening which was a great success and really opened peoples minds to their capabilities. I have noticed a real change in attitude and therefore confidence in all of the delegates.
Getting this kind of response is no mean feat in a Company such as ours where managers tend to be suspicious of any kind of development training.
Thank you very much for what you've done so far. Our Directors are now clamouring to let you loose on them!”
Paul Colley - HSE Manager - Timber Group
'Site Specific’ Manual Handling Trainer courses“Pivotal Performance has recently carried out ‘site specific’ Manual Handling Trainer courses for the Timber Group. I wanted a course that would work in our environment that our people could relate to. The Pivotal trainer and Pivotal representatives worked with me over a period of time to develop the correct course. Apart from the actual training, they provided a full manual, PowerPoint presentation; site specific Videos and pictures and hand-outs for our new trainers to issue. With a 91% pass rate we are now in the process of re-training all of our 994 employees with confidence.”
Neil Thomas - Metronet
Health and Safety Training“Pivotal Performance worked closely with our Health and safety management team to design bespoke asbestos programmes for Managers and operatives. One thing was clear; they put us first. Pivotal Performance worked with our Learning & Development department to incorporate a schedule of training for all relevant staff and shift patterns (including night staff). They also provided the same trainers to ensure consistency of delivery”

Pivotal think outside the box“Pivotal offer a lot more than off-the-shelf training programmes and are innovative in their approach. In order to get the delegates to ‘think outside the box’ – Pivotal had the delegates sat in a café style layout and working in small groups in order to ensure that everyone had a ‘voice’.”

“After working with Pivotal for much of 2006 I have been greatly impressed with the service I have received. Having safety responsibilities on a project such as Terminal 5 represents many challenges, but I'm pleased to say that managing my companies training requirements has been made easier thanks to Pivotal. The tutors bring knowledge, experience and an effective delivery style. I also find the support from their customer service team of a very high standard. I look forward to a continued working relationship with Pivotal through to the completion of the T5 project and beyond.”

IOSH Managing Safely“I came with very little knowledge of H&S but leave confident that I know what I have to do, have a good idea of how to do it, and know where to look if I require further information.
This was a dry subject brought to life. Examples were drawn from delegates and discussed, allowing us all to understand how the legislation affects us in specific ways, Pace was good and illustrations from outside our own work area and from the trainers experience helped immensley. Excellent - thank you.”
